Thanks to the glass used, it is suitable for filling formulations that require a stable and inert environment without undesirable interactions with the contents. The safety cap with lock helps minimise the risk of unintentional opening, which you will appreciate especially with intensive concentrates and products that need to be handled carefully. Such a bottle is popular in cosmetic manufacturing, in laboratory practice and in smaller artisan batches, where professional product presentation and reliable protection of the contents are important.
Yes, the glass bottle can be reused provided you follow basic hygiene rules and take into account the type of product being filled. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to prevent microbial contamination or residual mixing of the original and new formulation. For disinfection we recommend using high‑proof alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, available in the Handymade range: IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant‑based. After applying the alcohol, allow the bottle and closure to dry completely and only then refill it.
Before first use we recommend rinsing the glass medicine bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with potable water and then, as needed, also using alcohol disinfection. After rinsing, allow the bottle to drain and dry in a clean environment, ideally upside down on a clean surface. For professional use it is advisable to establish your own internal hygiene procedure to ensure reproducibility and quality for each production batch.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters on the Handymade website. Glass parts (the bottle) can generally be placed in a container designated for glass, while plastic or composite parts of the cap are sorted according to the material designation, if indicated. Before putting it into sorted waste, remove any residue of the contents and empty the packaging as much as possible. In the case of specific or heavily contaminated fillings, follow local regulations for handling chemical or hazardous waste.
