The packaging can be reused if strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. At the same time, we recommend considering whether the new product is not significantly different (pH, type of oils, fragrance) in order to minimize the risk of cross-contamination. If you are not sure, it is better to choose new packaging.

Before first filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent, followed by thorough rinsing with water) and, after drying, disinfecting it with alcohol. In practice, rinsing or spraying with alcohol has proven effective, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. The dispenser needs to be tested with a small amount of alcohol for flow-through, and then all parts should be allowed to dry thoroughly to minimize any residual alcohol odour.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is advisable to recycle it according to the types of materials used, as stated in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle is usually placed in the glass container after emptying and basic rinsing, while the plastic and metal parts of the dispenser belong in plastic or metal collection, if the waste sorting system in your area allows it. Before handing over for recycling, we recommend removing any product residues from the packaging so that the processing is more efficient and more environmentally friendly.
