However, before each new filling it is necessary to clean and disinfect the packaging thoroughly in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and deterioration of the product. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you will find in the Handymade range. After cleaning and disinfection, let the bottle and the dropper dry completely at room temperature and only then fill them again.

Before first use, we recommend carefully washing the glass bottle and the dropper in warm water with a mild, unscented cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly and allowing them to dry. It is then appropriate to disinfect the packaging with alcohol. You can use isopropyl alcohol IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Pour an adequate amount of alcohol into the bottle, shake it, optionally rinse the dropper as well, then pour out the remaining alcohol and allow the individual parts to dry completely in a clean place.

Do not store the bottles in the bathroom directly on the windowsill or above the radiator, where they could be exposed to light and heat. When storing several batches, label the packaging with the filling date and the product name so that you have an overview of freshness and can easily comply with the recommended period of use.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it after emptying and basic cleaning in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The glass body of the bottle belongs in the container designated for glass. The dropper usually consists of several parts – the glass pipette can also go into glass, while the plastic and rubber components need to be separated and sorted according to the material type listed in the product parameters. Before disposal, remove as much product residue as possible to facilitate processing in the recycling process.
