Can this glass bottle with spray pump be used repeatedly?

Yes, the bottle is suitable for repeated use if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling we recommend thoroughly cleaning the packaging and then disinfecting it, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging has thoroughly dried is it suitable to proceed with refilling.

How should the glass vial and spray pump be cleaned properly before further use?

It is advisable to first rinse the glass part with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, then rinse it with clean water and let it dry. After mechanical cleaning we recommend disinfecting the inside and the neck of the bottle with alcohol (e.g. IPA or ethanol) and letting it evaporate completely. Be more gentle with the spray pump – rinse it with clean water, or water with a small amount of alcohol, press the pump several times to force the solution through the entire dosing path, and let it dry at room temperature.

How should this packaging be correctly recycled if I decide not to use it further?

When you stop using it, we recommend recycling the packaging according to the material types given in the product parameters. The glass bottle is usually sorted into a container designated for glass, while the plastic and metal parts of the spray pump should, where possible, be separated and placed into sorted collection according to their material (plastic/metal). Before handing the packaging over to sorted waste, empty it and minimise any product residues. Always follow local waste-sorting rules and the recommendations given for the specific product on Handymade.

For which type of products is the spray pump most suitable in terms of consistency?

The spray pump is most suitable for low-viscosity liquids such as aqueous solutions, hydrolats, facial and body sprays or alcoholic blends. Thick emulsions, highly viscous oils or gels may impair the dosing functionality and fail to deliver the desired fine dispersion. Therefore, for any new formulation we always recommend performing a filling and spraying test on a small sample to verify the stability of the product in the packaging and consistent dosing.
