FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this bottle be used repeatedly?

The container can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and cap must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using alcohol-based disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and ventilated off is the packaging ready for new filling.

How should the container be properly cleaned and disinfected before new filling?

First, we recommend rinsing the bottle and cap with a suitable cleaning agent or with warm water and detergent to remove residues of the previous filling. Then let the container be thoroughly rinsed with clean water and dried. After drying, it is suitable to spray or rinse the internal surfaces with an alcohol-based disinfectant, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the alcohol to evaporate completely and only then refill the container.

You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?

The most effective way to choose is to use the advanced filter in the packaging material category. By combining these filters you can quickly narrow the selection down to those bottles that will best suit your specific product and method of use.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle this bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend that after emptying it you remove any remaining contents as much as possible and then recycle it according to the material type specified in the parameter table for the product. According to the material marking, place the packaging into the appropriate sorted waste stream (for example into the plastics container) in accordance with local sorting rules. The cap and body of the container may be made of different materials, so we recommend checking the marking of both parts and, if necessary, sorting them separately.

What should I pay attention to when storing and using this plastic bottle?

For storage, we recommend protecting the container from long-term exposure to direct sunlight and from extreme temperatures. If the container is made of PET-type plastic, it should not be exposed to high temperatures, because excessive heating can cause the material to deform. Such packaging is not intended for boiling or for cleaning in a dishwasher. When using with concentrated or highly active substances, we recommend carrying out trial filling to verify the behaviour of the material in contact with your specific formulation.
