Is this packaging suitable for thicker products or rather for thin liquids?

The bottle with smooth closure and reducer is optimal mainly for low- to medium-viscosity liquids, such as toners, solutions, light serums or hair lotions. For very thick creams and gels, dispensing through the reducer may be limited, therefore for these types of products jars or pump solutions from the relevant packaging categories are recommended instead.

How should I prepare the packaging before first use and for repeated filling?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before the first filling and before each further use, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle, closure and reducer and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol available in the Handymade range (IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol, Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based). After complete drying, you can safely fill the packaging with the selected product.

How should I store the filled bottle correctly so that the contents are preserved as long as possible?

We recommend storing the filled bottle in a dry, clean and shaded place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. After each use, tighten the closure firmly to minimize the contact of the contents with air and impurities. At the same time, follow the storage recommendations for the specific formulation (for example, sensitive active substances, acids or plant extracts may require a lower temperature or a shorter period of use).

How can I dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly way if I do not wish to use it further?

Before recycling, empty the bottle completely and, if possible, rinse out any product residues. Then follow the information on the material given in the product parameter table – according to the plastic type, place the packaging in the appropriate container for sorted collection (for example with other plastics). Recycle the closure and any internal reducer according to the same or the recommended procedure; if they are made of different materials, it is advisable to separate them. Local waste sorting rules may be specific, so it is always worth checking the recommendations of your waste collection provider.
