Is the plastic pill jar suitable for repeated use?

The pill jar can be used repeatedly, provided you observe basic hygiene principles and monitor its mechanical condition. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. After applying the disinfectant, let the inside of the packaging dry completely in order to minimise the risk of affecting the stored tablets or capsules.

How should this medicine bottle be properly cleaned and disinfected before further use?

Before repeated use, first mechanically remove residues of the original contents, then rinse the inside of the jar with clear water and let it drain. To ensure hygiene, we recommend treating the inner and outer surfaces with an alcohol disinfectant preparation – practical examples are the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. After disinfection, let the medicine bottle dry completely at room temperature, without exposure to direct heat, in order to preserve the shape and properties of the plastic.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend first emptying it and removing any remaining contents.
