Glass bottle – medicine bottle represents a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing of both liquid and drop-type preparations. The smooth glass surface makes labelling easier and provides a representative appearance for home-made and artisanal products. Thanks to the chemical resistance of glass, the bottle is a stable choice for various formulations that require reliable and hygienic packaging.
The glass medicine bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dosing options, depending on the chosen product parameters. You can combine it with screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators, which allows you to adapt the packaging precisely to the nature of the filled product and the desired method of application. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (seal-tightness, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to verify optimal functionality under your conditions.
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend cleaning the bottle thoroughly and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol ethanol 96 % denatured. This supports the microbiological cleanliness of the packaging and the stability of the new filling.
The glass medicine bottle is ideal for concentrated and liquid preparations that require precise dropwise or gentle dosing – for example facial serums, oil blends, active solutions, aromatherapeutic drops or test samples of formulations. You can choose a suitable type of closure or dropper according to the nature of the specific product.
First remove any residues of the original product, then rinse the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent. After thoroughly rinsing with clean water, let the packaging dry, ideally upside down. Before new filling we recommend disinfecting the inner surface and any closure using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol 96 % and allowing it to air well to remove any alcohol residues.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass packaging is usually sorted into the container intended for glass. Dispose of closures and any dosing components according to their specific material (often plastic or composite materials) in accordance with local waste-sorting rules. By following the recommended sorting, you support a more environmentally friendly approach.
To choose suitable packaging, we recommend using the extended filter in the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category, an option to filter by several parameters – especially neck type, size, colour and material – appears at the top of the page. This allows you to quickly narrow down the offer to packaging that matches your formulation and preferred design and thus more easily find the optimal bottle or jar for your product.
When choosing a closure or dropper, it is important that it matches the neck type specified in the product parameters. After selecting a combination, we recommend checking whether the closure seals well, whether the dropper doses the required amount and whether the material of the closure does not react with the specific formulation. A short test under real conditions of use will help you avoid problems with leaking, clogging or changes in the properties of the product.
