This bottle with dispenser is supplied as a ready-made combination of packaging and functional closure system. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behavior of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure that your particular product will function reliably in the packaging and without undesirable changes.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. In these documents you will find detailed information about the material used, suitability for contact with a specific type of product, the recommended method of use, and other technical specifications important for cosmetic developers and manufacturers.
Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after thorough drying is the packaging ready for refilling.
The bottle is intended primarily for liquid and slightly viscous cosmetic products where an accurate and hygienic dose is important. These are mainly face and body milks, emulsions, moisturizing gels, hand care products, lighter hair products or professional preparations used in cosmetic and massage salons. We always recommend testing the behavior of the specific formulation in the packaging and verifying the smooth functioning of the dispenser.
First, we recommend rinsing the bottle with lukewarm water and a suitable cleansing agent that is compatible with the previous fill. It is good to pump the dispenser several times with clean water to remove residues of the original product. Subsequently, the packaging and the dispenser mechanism must be disinfected with an alcohol solution (for example using IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 %) and allowed to dry completely. Only then is it appropriate to proceed to a new filling, in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination or undesirable reactions between residues of the original product and the new formulation.
If you decide not to use the packaging any longer, we recommend emptying it as much as possible and removing any product residues. The metal part of the bottle should be placed in the separate collection for metal packaging in accordance with the recommendations of your local waste collection system. The plastic parts of the dispenser (e.g. pump, tube) usually belong in the separate plastic collection, unless local regulations state otherwise. The exact method of sorting may vary depending on the location, so it is always advisable to follow the local guidelines on recycling packaging materials as specified by the relevant collection system. By recycling, you extend the life cycle of the raw materials used and reduce the amount of waste.
