The plastic packaging can be used repeatedly provided that you follow basic hygiene rules and continuously check its condition. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the smell or consistency of the product.

After emptying the packaging, we recommend first thoroughly rinsing the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent, then rinsing it with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. It is then advisable to treat the inner walls and the thread of the packaging as well as the parts of the dispenser with disinfectant alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated and the packaging is dry is it ready for new filling.

In the advanced filter you can conveniently sort the range by neck type, size, colour and material. In this way you can easily select packaging that will suit your formulation and the intended method of dosing.

We recommend storing the filled bottle in a dry, clean place, protected from direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations. Always close the packaging tightly with the dispenser after use to minimise the contact of the contents with air and impurities. For more sensitive formulations, also follow the storage recommendations according to the selected raw materials and always work with clean hands or protective gloves.

The dispenser is designed for common liquid and slightly more viscous cosmetic products, such as lighter emulsions, body lotions or liquid soaps. For very thick creams or gel textures, we recommend first testing the dosing on a small trial batch in order to verify the smooth operation of the pump, complete dispensing of the product and correct sealing during long-term use.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we primarily recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters on the Handymade website. Before handing it over for collection, empty the contents and, if necessary, rinse the packaging to remove product residues. Then separate the bottle and the dispenser according to their material parts (for example the body of the packaging and the pump mechanism) and place them in the appropriate sorted-waste containers in accordance with local recycling rules.
