How should this packaging be correctly prepared before the first filling?

Before first use we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle and the dispenser and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation. To disinfect the inner surface of the packaging and the parts in contact with the product, you can use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for cosmetic use, for example products available on Handymade in the disinfection category: IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to air out thoroughly and dry, and only then fill the container.

Can this bottle be used repeatedly?

The packaging can be reused during normal use, as long as it is not mechanically damaged and the dosing mechanism remains fully functional. For repeated use it is essential to observe hygiene principles – after the contents have been used up, rinse the bottle and the dispenser as thoroughly as possible, remove residues of the previous formulation and disinfect the packaging with alcohol before the next filling (for example IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % plant-based). Then allow all parts to dry completely in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination.

How can I correctly recycle this bottle if I no longer want to use it?

The method of recycling is determined by the material specified in the product parameters on the Handymade website. Before placing the packaging into separated collection, we recommend largely emptying its contents and wiping or rinsing off any residues. Then, if possible, separate the bottle and the dispenser so that the individual parts can be processed in accordance with local recycling rules. Always adapt the specific classification of the packaging (for example into the plastics container) to the material indication in the parameter table and to the recommendations of your local separated collection system.

To minimise the risk of unwanted dispensing of the contents, we recommend checking the tightening of the dispenser after filling and storing the bottle in an upright position during transport.
