Use with products containing alcohol or essential oils depends on their concentration and the specific composition of the formulation. Before final filling, we recommend performing a compatibility test – fill a smaller trial quantity, monitor the behaviour of the material, the functionality of the spray pump, the sealing and any changes in the appearance of the packaging. If you plan to use high concentrations of alcohol or strongly aromatic blends, it is advisable to carry out a stress test during prolonged storage.

The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are followed; however, we always recommend cleaning and disinfecting it thoroughly before each new filling. After emptying, remove any residues of the original product, rinse the container and the spray pump with a suitable cleansing agent and then disinfect, for example, using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol available at /ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/ or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based at /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry thoroughly before refilling the packaging.

To ensure that the spray pump works reliably over the long term, it is recommended that after the contents have been used up you rinse the dip tube and the pump head itself with clean water or a suitable solvent that is compatible with the product used. For more viscous or highly oily formulations, it is useful to alternately spray small amounts of clean water and then a disinfectant solution in order to remove residual raw materials from the nozzle. After rinsing, allow all parts to dry at room temperature and store the spray pump in the closed position to minimise clogging with dust and impurities.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend as a first step completely emptying it and removing any residues of the original product. Then sort the individual parts (bottle, spray pump, overcap) according to the material designation into the appropriate collection containers in line with local waste-sorting rules.
