Plastic pharmaceutical bottle with sprayer represents a practical and hygienic solution for gentle dosing of liquid preparations in the form of a fine mist. Thanks to the sophisticated sprayer mechanism, it enables precise, targeted and economical application without the contents coming into contact with the skin or the external environment. The brown version of the packaging also helps protect more sensitive contents from the effects of light, which is particularly suitable for formulations with lower stability.

This packaging is supplied as a combination of bottle and sprayer, designed to form a functional unit for even spraying of the liquid contents.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. This reduces the risk of leakage and unsatisfactory dosing during manufacturing and filling.
However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the sealing, dosing consistency and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil or water base, etc.).

Technical parameters

All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Depending on the type of plastic used and the recommendations in the product parameters, choose a suitable area of use and cleaning method.
If PET material is indicated in the parameters, do not expose the packaging to high temperatures in order to avoid deformation; in such a case it is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling.
Recycling instructions follow the material designation given in the parameter table – according to it, the bottle and sprayer must be sorted into the appropriate collection stream.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this plastic bottle with sprayer suitable for products containing alcohol?

The suitability for use with products containing alcohol depends on the specific type of plastic and the recommendations given in the product parameters. Before filling, we always recommend carrying out your own test – fill a small amount of the formulation, leave it to stand for a certain time and check whether any softening, discolouration or leakage of the sprayer occurs. With a higher alcohol content, it is important also to monitor the dosing consistency and any changes in the operation of the sprayer mechanism.

Can I use this pharmaceutical bottle repeatedly for different products?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed; however, we recommend keeping it for the same type of product (for example always a cosmetic spray or always a technical solution) in order to avoid unwanted mixing of residues. Before each new filling, the bottle and sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable, letting the disinfectant solution pass through the sprayer mechanism as well and then drying all parts thoroughly.

How should I clean the packaging properly so that I do not damage the sprayer or the material of the bottle?

For cleaning we recommend first rinsing the bottle and the suction tube with warm, but not boiling, water and, if necessary, using a mild, well-soluble cleaning agent. It is then appropriate to disinfect the packaging with an alcohol solution and to let it pass through the spraying mechanism as well. If PET material is indicated in the parameters, do not expose the packaging to high temperatures, do not boil it and do not wash it in a dishwasher in order to avoid deformation. After cleaning, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature and only then refill the bottle.

How can I safely recycle the bottle and sprayer if I no longer want to use them repeatedly?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is appropriate, after emptying and basic rinsing, to hand it over for recycling. The exact method of sorting depends on the material designation given in the parameter table for the product. According to this, you will place the bottle in the appropriate container for plastic waste; we recommend separating the sprayer from the bottle before sorting in order to facilitate processing of the individual components. For packaging made of PET material, follow local plastic collection rules and ensure that the packaging is as free as possible from product residues.
