Is this plastic medicine bottle also suitable for products with active substances (for example acids, vitamins, extracts)?

The medicine bottle is designed for standard cosmetic formulations, including recipes with active substances. For formulations containing acids, a high proportion of alcohol or other reactive components, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of the product and observe the behaviour of the packaging (colour, shape, sealing and dispenser functionality) over several days to weeks. This way you will verify the suitability of the combination for your specific recipe.

Can I reuse this bottle for further product batches?

The packaging can be reused provided that proper hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle, dispenser and all parts in contact with the product must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. For disinfection we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for technical and cosmetic purposes, available in the offer as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after thorough drying is the packaging suitable for refilling.

How should I properly clean and disinfect this plastic medicine bottle before re-use?

First mechanically remove residues of the original product by rinsing with warm (not boiling) water and a suitable cleaning agent. Then rinse with clean water, allow to drain and dry. Next, apply disinfection – for example by spraying or rinsing with IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let the packaging dry naturally at room temperature. Do not boil the packaging or the dispenser and do not wash them in a dishwasher – high temperatures can deform the plastic.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend using sorted waste collection according to the material specified in the product parameters.
