The plastic bottle with disc-top closure represents a practical solution for dispensing various liquid preparations in cosmetics as well as in the household. Thanks to the design of the closure, it enables comfortable, controlled and clean squeezing of the contents without unnecessary contact with the surroundings, which is ideal for products where precise dosing and hygienic use matter.
The packaging is designed to be suitable for filling various liquid and slightly viscous formulations, such as cleansing foams, face and body care products or hair cosmetics. The opaque version helps protect more sensitive components from light and at the same time elegantly hides the inner contents, which is practical for design packaging of finished products or for small-scale artisan production.
This product represents a combination of bottle and closure that is configured on Handymade as a functional unit. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – verify sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, especially for preparations with a high proportion of alcohol, essential oils or active substances.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The disc-top closure is designed to allow comfortable dosing of common liquids and slightly viscous preparations such as body lotions, gentle gels or shampoos. For very thick formulations, we recommend first performing a trial filling to verify that you have sufficient comfort when dispensing and that the consistency is suitable for this type of bottle.
The packaging can be reused, provided hygienic principles are observed. Before each filling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to dry completely at room temperature and only then refill them so that no unwanted water or residues of the cleaning agent enter the product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend, after emptying and basic rinsing, placing it in sorted waste according to the material type specified in the parameter table on the product page on Handymade. Always first remove product residues from the bottle and the closure so that they do not disrupt the recycling process. Then sort them into the appropriate container according to the recycling marking in the parameters – in this way you support efficient processing of the plastic packaging material.
Many cosmetic formulations containing alcohol or essential oils can be filled into plastic packaging; however, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test. Fill a smaller amount of the product and leave it in the packaging for a certain time to check the behaviour of the material, the sealing of the closure and the preservation of the appearance and fragrance of the formulation. At higher concentrations of alcohol or aromatic substances, the type of plastic used may affect long-term stability, so prior testing is crucial.
The combination of a durable plastic bottle and a securely closable disc-top closure is suitable for everyday use and for carrying in a bag. Before travelling, however, always check that the closure is firmly snapped shut and that the bottle is not overfilled, so that the contents have sufficient space during pressure changes and handling. For more aggressive formulations or higher alcohol content, it is advisable to perform a trial test to make sure that no leakage occurs during prolonged carrying.
The easiest way is to use the advanced filter in the relevant packaging category. After clicking on the category, the filtering option will appear at the top of the page, where you can choose the combination of parameters you need – for example, the type of neck, size, colour or packaging material. Thanks to these filters, you will quickly narrow down the selection to bottles, jars or pots that are most suitable for your specific formulation and dosing method.
