The plastic bottle with a transparent flip-top cap represents a practical and hygienic packaging for various liquid and gel formulations. Thanks to the high-quality plastic material, the bottle is light, resistant to normal mechanical stress and suitable for precise dosing during everyday use. The flip-top cap allows comfortable one-handed opening and controlled dispensing of the contents without unnecessary waste.
This packaging is designed to reliably protect the contents from external contamination and to minimize the contact of the product with air during use. The smooth walls of the packaging make filling, handling and any labelling easier, which will be appreciated by home creators as well as smaller producers of artisanal cosmetics or other liquid preparations.
The bottle with a flip-top cap is suitable for thin and medium-viscosity liquids such as toners, facial waters, shower gels or shampoos. For very viscous products, we recommend testing before final filling whether the flow through the opening in the cap is sufficient for your composition and whether the product is dispensed smoothly without the need for excessive pressure on the walls of the packaging.
The packaging can be reused if proper hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the cap and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based, which you can find in the Handymade range (IPA 99, Ethanol 96). Disinfection helps to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and to extend the stability of your formulations.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging materials category. After clicking on the relevant category, you will find the filter at the top of the page, where you can combine several criteria at once – for example the type of neck, size, colour and material of the packaging. In this way you can quickly filter bottles, jars or vials that best match the properties of your product and your preferred design.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the bottle and the flip-top cap with a suitable cleaning solution and clean water, then allowing them to dry thoroughly and disinfecting them with an alcohol-based preparation before filling, for example IPA 99 isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. It is important that no water residues or cleaning agent remain in the packaging or in the cap, as these could affect the stability and appearance of the final product.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend, after emptying and basic rinsing, sorting it into separated waste according to the material specified in the product parameters. Information about the type of plastic can be found in the packaging parameter table on the Handymade website, and according to this information it is appropriate to place the packaging into the relevant plastic container. In this way, you support recycling of the material and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
