FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to use this plastic bottle repeatedly?

The bottle can be used repeatedly if you follow basic hygiene rules and if it is materially suitable for the given type of product. Before every new filling, the packaging needs to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After washing, allow the bottle and closure to dry completely to minimise the risk of microbial contamination.

How should I correctly clean and disinfect the bottle before a new filling?

Before reuse, we recommend first rinsing the bottle and closure with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, then rinsing thoroughly with clean water and letting them drain. After mechanical cleaning, it is appropriate to disinfect the packaging with alcohol – for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the alcohol, let the packaging air-dry naturally in a clean and dust-free place, and only then proceed to filling with the final product.

Is this plastic bottle suitable for use at higher temperatures or for hot fills?

Plastic packaging is generally intended primarily for filling at normal room or slightly elevated temperatures. Do not use it for hot or freshly boiled products, to avoid reducing the stability of the material or deforming the shape of the packaging. Do not boil the bottle, do not expose it to direct contact with boiling or to extremely high temperatures in an oven or dryer. When cleaning, prefer hand washing combined with the recommended alcohol disinfection over aggressive thermal procedures.

How can I recycle this bottle if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide to the packaging, we recommend disposing of it in an environmentally friendly way according to the type of plastic indicated in the product parameter table. Before handing it over for separate collection, remove product residues as much as possible, rinse the bottle and, if possible, separate the individual components (bottle body, closure) according to the respective recycling symbols. Then place them in a suitable container for plastic waste according to local recycling rules.
