FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Is this bottle suitable for repeated use?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene rules are observed and it is handled appropriately. Before each new filling, the bottle and pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99% – isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after complete drying is the bottle ready for refilling.

How should the bottle with pump be properly cleaned and disinfected before further use?

Before repeated use, we recommend dismantling the packaging into individual parts, removing residues of the original contents and rinsing them with a suitable cleaning solution. It is then advisable to rinse the internal surfaces with disinfecting alcohol – for example with the products IPA 99% or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry freely at room temperature and only then assemble the packaging and fill it again.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle the empty packaging if I do not wish to continue using it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend first emptying it and removing any remaining contents in accordance with the nature of the product used. Then follow the material information given in the product parameter table – according to these, place the bottle in the appropriate sorted waste stream (e.g. plastic container). If the bottle and pump are made of different materials, it is ideal to separate them before disposal and recycle them separately according to the recommendations in the packaging parameters.

Can I store products containing alcohol or oils in the bottle?

The compatibility of the packaging with a specific formulation depends on the material used and the composition of the product (alcohol concentration, type and proportion of the oil phase, presence of acids, etc.). When developing a new product, we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – fill a smaller amount, monitor the behaviour of the plastic, pump and seals over time and check whether there are any changes in colour, softening or leakage. Such a test is especially important for formulas with a higher proportion of solvents or active substances.
