Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly with proper handling and storage, but it is always recommended only for the same type of product. Before each new filling it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the dispenser and subsequently disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example using isopropyl alcohol available on the page IPA 99 % – isopropyl alkohol or plant-based ethanol Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Adhering to hygiene principles is crucial for the safety and stability of the new filling.

Before the first use we recommend mechanically rinsing the packaging with clean water, letting it drain, and then treating the inner space as well as all parts of the dispenser with disinfectant alcohol. It is appropriate to use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol at a concentration recommended for surface disinfection. After applying the disinfectant, let the packaging dry freely at room temperature. With this procedure you minimize the risk of microbial contamination of the prepared product.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend that after the contents have been used up you empty it as much as possible and, according to the material information in the parameter table, place it in the appropriate sorted waste (for example plastic packaging into the plastics container). The dispenser and the body of the packaging may be made from different plastic components, therefore it is appropriate to separate them if necessary. Recycling rules are governed by the local waste collection system, with indicative recommendations available in the product parameters on the Handymade page. Before placing it into sorted collection, sterilization is not necessary; it is sufficient to leave the packaging without product residues.

Ideally, the bottle should be kept long-term for one type of product in order to avoid mutual influence of the fragrance, colour or properties of different formulations. If you plan to change the type of filling, it is necessary to completely remove the original contents, wash the packaging thoroughly and disinfect it with disinfectant alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % – isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Only after it has completely dried is it suitable to refill the bottle and subsequently test the stability and behaviour of the new formulation in contact with the packaging.
