Yes, the container can be reused if handled appropriately, but it is recommended to follow strict hygiene rules. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of microbiological contamination. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcoholic preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose, available in the Handymade range, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let all parts dry completely and only then refill the container.

For which type of products is this packaging with spray dispenser most suitable?

The bottle with spray dispenser is most suitable for thin to medium-thin aqueous or water-alcohol solutions without large undissolved particles. It is excellent for facial and body sprays, hydrolats, air fresheners, hair tonics, textile sprays or light cleansing solutions. Thick emulsions, gels or preparations with a significant proportion of undissolved particles can clog the spray dispenser or worsen the quality of spraying, so this type of packaging is usually not recommended for them.

How should I properly clean this bottle before first use or repeated filling?

Before first use and before every repeated filling, we recommend disassembling the container into individual parts (bottle, spray dispenser, cap) and thoroughly rinsing them with a suitable cleaning agent, then rinsing with drinking water and finally rinsing with distilled or demineralised water. After washing, it is advisable to carry out disinfection with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let all parts dry naturally in a clean and dust-free place and only then refill the bottle.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I no longer wish to use it?
