FAQ – Most frequent questions

Is this bottle suitable for more viscous liquids or only for thin liquids?

The disc top cap works best with thin to medium-viscosity liquid formulations, such as toners, light emulsions, shower gels or shampoos. With very thick creams and balms, dispensing may be less comfortable – in such a case we recommend considering a bottle with a pump or a jar. Before finally choosing the packaging, it is advisable to do a trial filling with the specific product.

Can I use this bottle repeatedly for different products?

The packaging can be reused if strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the cap must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant ethanol. In this way, you reduce the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new product by residues of the previous formulation.

How to correctly clean and disinfect the bottle before refilling?

First we recommend mechanically rinsing the packaging with warm water and a mild detergent to remove product residues. Then rinse the bottle several times with clean water, let it drain and, if possible, dry completely. Before filling, disinfect the inner and outer surface with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using IPA 99 % or 96 % denatured plant ethanol. Allow the disinfectant to act and let the excess evaporate.

How to safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend, after emptying and roughly rinsing it, to put it into sorted waste according to the material specified in the product parameters (for example into a container intended for plastic packaging). Always follow local waste sorting rules and the pictogram / marking of the recycling material indicated with the product. The cap is generally made of a different type of plastic than the bottle body, so it is ideal to disassemble the packaging before disposal to facilitate the sorting and recycling process.
