The plastic bottle with flip-top cap represents a practical and reliable packaging solution for a wide range of liquid and gel formulations. FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Can this plastic bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if correct hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the container thoroughly and then disinfect it, ideally using a suitable alcohol (for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol). For disinfection we recommend the products IPA 99 % – isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After washing and disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely at room temperature and only then refill it.

How should I care for the PET bottle with regard to temperature and cleaning?

PET material is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures, so do not expose the bottle to direct sunlight in a closed car, do not place it near heat sources and never boil it. Excessive heating carries a risk of deformation of the packaging. The packaging is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher, as high temperature and intensive programmes can damage the shape and surface of the plastic. We recommend manual cleaning with lukewarm water and a mild detergent, thorough rinsing and subsequent disinfection with a suitable alcohol before further use.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this PET bottle if I no longer wish to reuse it?

If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting regulations. In most countries, PET plastic is placed in containers intended for plastic waste. Before placing the bottle in the recycling bin, empty it, rinse out any product residues if necessary and allow it to dry. Then compress it so that it takes up less space. You can either leave the cap on the bottle (if local rules allow) or sort it according to the instructions of your collection system.
