Brown plastic medicine bottle is a practical universal packaging, ideal for filling various liquid and semi-liquid preparations. Thanks to its deep brown colour, it provides the contents with additional protection from light, which you will appreciate especially with more sensitive formulations, such as aromatic blends or active cosmetic raw materials. The durable plastic material ensures reliable storage, easy handling and safe transport of the product in home production as well as in smaller artisan batches.
The bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, atomisers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The bottle can be used repeatedly, provided you observe basic hygiene principles and the material shows no signs of damage or fatigue. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean and disinfect the packaging thoroughly – using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol is suitable, for example. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After treatment, let the packaging dry completely and only then fill it again.
Since this is plastic packaging, it is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. Exposure to high temperatures can lead to deformation of the walls, deterioration of the closure seal and an overall change in the properties of the packaging. We recommend gentle hand cleaning with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent, followed by thorough rinsing and disinfection using an alcohol-based product. In this way, the bottle will retain its stable shape and functionality even with long-term use.
We recommend storing filled bottles in a dry, cooler and shaded place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. The brown colouring of the packaging helps protect the contents from light, but for sensitive formulations it is advisable to add further protection – for example by keeping them in lockable cabinets or boxes. When handling, try not to expose the packaging unnecessarily to sudden temperature changes and always close it firmly to minimise the access of air and moisture.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend primarily recycling it according to the recommendations given in the parameter table for the product. According to the material marking on the packaging and in the parameters, you assign the bottle to the appropriate separated waste (most often the plastic container). Before handing it over for recycling, empty the packaging, minimise any remaining contents by rinsing, and, if possible, separate any different materials (bottle, closure, inserts). In this way you will support more efficient processing in the recycling process.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the selected packaging category. In the advanced filter you can adapt the selection according to several parameters – specifically according to neck type, packaging size, colour and material. Thanks to this, you will quickly find bottles, jars or pots that meet the technical requirements of your formulation, the design and the dosing method. You can continuously change and combine the filter until you arrive at the ideal packaging for your product.
