FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this bottle suitable for repeated use?

The bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based agent, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and prevents deterioration of the product.

How should I clean the dispenser correctly so that dosing remains functional?

We recommend that, after emptying the packaging, you rinse the dispenser with warm (not boiling) water with a small amount of mild detergent, press the mechanism several times so that the solution reaches the entire system, and then rinse just as thoroughly with clean water. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the internal surfaces with an alcohol solution and allow them to air out thoroughly before the next filling.

Can I use this bottle one after another for different types of products?

The packaging can be used repeatedly also for different types of preparations, but it is recommended to follow the procedure of thorough washing, rinsing and disinfection so that residues of the previous product do not mix with the new formulation. Especially for perfumed, coloured or oil-based preparations, it is important to pay attention to thorough removal of residues so that they do not affect the fragrance, colour or texture of the new product.

How should I correctly recycle the bottle and dispenser if I no longer wish to use them?

Before recycling, we recommend emptying the packaging and removing product residues as much as possible. The subsequent sorting must be adapted to the type of material indicated in the product parameters on the Handymade website. According to the material designation, choose the appropriate sorting container (for example plastic collection for plastic parts) and always follow the local rules for waste separation. If the packaging is composed of several types of materials, it is advisable to separate them before disposal (bottle, pump, possibly tube) and sort them separately.
