The plastic bottle made of recycled PET with an aluminium cap represents a reliable and aesthetic packaging suitable for modern cosmetic as well as technical formulations. Thanks to the use of recycled PET material, it offers a combination of light weight, durability and a responsible material footprint, while the aluminium closure ensures precise sealing of the contents. The bottle is designed to handle the packaging of various liquid, gel or slightly viscous products and to reliably protect their quality during storage and use.
Recycled PET is characterised by very good shape stability and resistance to common cosmetic ingredients, which makes this bottle a universal packaging for a wide range of formulations. The smooth surface of the packaging facilitates labelling and branding, making it suitable also for smaller brands, artisan production and handmade cosmetics. Thanks to its optimised shape, the bottle sits comfortably in the hand and is practical for everyday use in the bathroom, salon and home workshop.
Important note regarding PET material: it is not advisable to expose PET plastic packaging to high temperatures, as this may lead to deformation of the bottle and affect its functional properties. The packaging is not intended for dishwasher cleaning or boiling; gentle cleaning at lower temperatures and under suitable conditions is recommended.
The standalone plastic bottle made of recycled PET with an aluminium cap is designed to be compatible with several types of closures and dispensing systems according to the selected parameters in the product detail. Depending on the specific use, it can be combined, for example, with screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators, which increase dispensing comfort and adapt the packaging to the character of the filled formulation.
The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, content of oils, alcohol or surface-active agents). This step helps to prevent unwanted leakage, material changes or changes in the functionality of the dispensing component during long-term use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are observed, but we recommend always considering the character of the filled formulation and the length of storage. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, vegetable origin. At the same time, it is important not to expose the packaging to high temperatures – PET material is not suitable for boiling or dishwasher cleaning, where there is a risk of deformation and reduced functionality.
After emptying, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for the given type of formulation, then rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry. After mechanical cleaning, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface and the closure, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, vegetable origin. Use an appropriate amount of disinfectant, ensure contact with all inner surfaces and allow the alcohol to evaporate completely. Avoid using high temperature, boiling and dishwasher cleaning to prevent damage to the PET material.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material type indicated in the product parameters. The plastic bottle made of recycled PET, after thorough emptying and possible rinsing, is normally sorted into the container intended for plastic waste, while the aluminium cap is sorted into metal waste if the collection system in your area allows it. Before placing it in separate collection, we recommend compressing the packaging so that it takes up less space and ensuring that no residues of hazardous substances remain inside. Specific recommendations for sorting follow local rules and the material marking in the product parameter table on the page.
The bottle made of recycled PET is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. When heated above the recommended range, it may lead to deformation of the packaging, weakening of the walls or deterioration of the function of the thread and seal. For this reason, PET packaging is not recommended to be sterilised by boiling or cleaned in a dishwasher, where the temperatures and pressure during the programme can damage the material. Instead of thermal sterilisation, we recommend a combination of thorough mechanical cleaning and chemical disinfection with an alcohol solution at an appropriate concentration, while respecting the recommendations of the manufacturer of the filled formulation.
To make it easier to choose a suitable bottle, jar or other packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the advanced filter it is possible to combine several parameters at once – for example the type and size of the neck, the required size/volume, the colour or the material of the packaging. In this way you can quickly narrow down the offer to only those packaging options that meet the required criteria of your formulation and the visual concept of your brand. For specific requirements, we recommend also checking the technical information in the product detail and the attached packaging quality certificate.
When filling thicker or oil-based products, it is advisable to choose an appropriate filling temperature and speed in order to prevent the formation of bubbles and excessive contamination of the thread. Do not heat the PET bottle to high temperatures and do not fill it with mixtures that are too hot, to avoid deformation. It is recommended to carry out a trial filling on a smaller sample, to check the compatibility of the closure or dispenser used (sealing, flow, dripping) and to verify the behaviour of the packaging during longer storage. For products with a higher content of oils or alcohol, it is important to monitor whether softening or stress of the material occurs and, if necessary, to adjust the type of dispensing component.
