The transparent plastic PET medicine bottle is a practical and universal packaging suitable for filling various liquid and powder preparations. Thanks to its high-quality workmanship and stable material, the bottle is ideal for preparations where cleanliness, precise dosing and good visibility of the contents are important. The transparent PET bottle allows easy visual control of the product’s colour and consistency, which you will appreciate both during development and during routine filling of your own formulations.
Warning regarding the use of PET packaging: PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures for long periods, in order to avoid the risk of deformation of the packaging. We do not recommend washing the bottle in a dishwasher or boiling it; if cleaning is required, give preference to gentle manual washing and disinfection with a suitable preparation.
The standalone PET bottle is ready to be combined with several types of closures according to the required mode of application. They are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the specific product. Packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – in particular of sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil or water base, etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The packaging can be reused if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle, drying it and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and extends the safe use of your products.
First rinse the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent and warm (not hot) water to avoid deformation of the PET material. After thorough rinsing, allow the packaging to dry completely. Then disinfect the inner surface and contact areas with the contents by pouring in or rinsing with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Do not boil PET packaging and do not wash it in a dishwasher, in order to avoid damaging the bottle.
PET material is not intended for filling with very hot or freshly sterilised fillings. Exposure to high temperatures can lead to softening or deformation of the packaging and deterioration of its sealing properties. It is recommended to fill only after the product has cooled to room temperature, or to the temperature recommended for the given type of plastic packaging. In this way you will maintain the stability of the bottle and secure closure.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is appropriate to place it in sorted waste collection according to the material stated in the product parameters. PET packaging is typically placed in containers intended for plastic waste. Before recycling, we recommend emptying the bottle, wiping off any product residue and separating individual components (closure, possible dispenser) if they are made from a different material. Packaging prepared in this way fits better into the recycling process and helps to reduce the amount of waste.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter that is available at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Using the filter, you can easily select packaging according to several parameters – in particular according to neck type, size, colour and material. By combining these criteria, you can quickly narrow down the range to packaging that best matches your specific product and method of use.
