Yes, the container can be reused if handled appropriately. However, it is always necessary to follow basic hygiene principles – before each new filling, thoroughly clean the bottle, rinse it, and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Only after the inner surface is completely dry is the bottle ready to be refilled.
First, rinse the bottle with the residual medium (for example a small amount of water or a suitable solvent according to the type of contents), then wash it with a mild detergent and warm (not boiling) water. After thorough rinsing, allow the container to drain and dry. Before refilling, we recommend disinfecting the interior and the thread with alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol or plant-based denatured ethanol. The container is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher or for exposure to boiling.
For plastic packaging made of PET material, it is important to avoid exposure to high temperatures – for example direct sunlight behind glass, storage near heat sources, or pouring in hot products. At excessive temperatures, the walls or the base may soften or deform. PET containers are not intended for cleaning in a dishwasher or for boiling. It is recommended to use them with products within a normal temperature range and to store them indoors, away from extreme conditions.
Before discarding the container, it is advisable to remove any residues of the original contents and any labels. According to the material information in the product parameters (for example the PET designation and the corresponding recycling symbol), dispose of the bottle in the appropriate bin for sorted plastic waste. Sort the cap and any inserts according to the same or separately specified material. By recycling, you help to use the raw material efficiently and reduce the amount of municipal waste.
