Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the container can be reused if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the safe usability of your formulations in the reused container.
Before the next filling, we recommend first rinsing the container with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, thoroughly removing the remains of the original product and allowing it to dry. It is then appropriate to wipe or rinse the inner and outer surfaces with a disinfectant alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or 96 % ethanol denatured. After sufficient evaporation of the alcohol and complete drying, the bottle can be refilled with a new product.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, sorting it into separated waste according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameters for this container. Before placing it in the collection bin, it is appropriate to separate the closure from the body of the bottle and minimize any remaining contents. Respect local waste sorting rules in order to ensure the most efficient recycling processing of the material and reduction of environmental burden.
Store the bottle in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources. The packaging material is not intended for long-term exposure to high temperatures, therefore we do not recommend leaving filled bottles in a car in the sun, near heating bodies or in the immediate vicinity of heat sources. It is also appropriate to avoid sudden temperature changes, which may affect the properties of the packaged product as well as of the container itself.
No, the plastic material used for this type of container is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures, such as dishwasher programmes or boiling in boiling water. Under excessive thermal stress, the bottle may deform, the tightness of the closure may deteriorate and the functionality of dosing may be limited. For cleaning we recommend hand washing in slightly warm water with a mild detergent and subsequent disinfection with alcohol, not thermal sterilisation.
