Yes, the packaging can be reused provided that hygiene principles are observed. However, before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the bottle and the spray dispenser thoroughly and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol (IPA 99%) or plant-based ethanol (Ethanol 96% denatured). This minimises the risk of microbiological contamination and extends the shelf life of the filled formulation.

First rinse the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent, then rinse thoroughly with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. Then disinfect the packaging and the spray dispenser with an alcohol solution – IPA 99% or Ethanol 96% denatured have proven particularly effective. You can briefly spray the disinfectant solution through the dosing mechanism to clean the inner capillary as well. Afterwards, allow all parts to dry thoroughly at room temperature. Due to the risk of deformation of the PET material, we do not recommend boiling or washing in a dishwasher.

The spray dispenser is intended primarily for liquid and low-viscosity preparations that need to be applied as a fine mist – for example floral waters, toners, hydrolats, facial and body refreshing sprays, hair sprays, light oil-based or two-phase blends, disinfectant solutions and cleaning preparations for surfaces. Thick emulsions, gels and highly viscous products may prevent the spray mechanism from dosing properly, and therefore they are not recommended for this type of bottle.

Store the filled bottle at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, so do not leave the packaging in a heated car or near radiators or other heat sources where deformation could occur. At the same time, we recommend protecting the packaging from mechanical damage and closing the spray dispenser tightly in order to minimise the risk of leakage of the product during storage or transport.

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it as a priority according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameters. First empty the bottle and remove any remaining contents, rinsing it if necessary. Then dispose of it in the appropriate container for sorted waste according to local recycling rules. Sort the spray dispenser and small plastic parts according to the recommendations of your waste collection company; in case of doubt, these components can be disposed of as mixed waste. By following the recommended sorting, you support more efficient processing of plastics in the recycling process.
