Can I use this spray bottle repeatedly?

The bottle can be used repeatedly provided that you follow basic hygiene principles and appropriate use for the given type of formulation. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose. For disinfection you can use, for example, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only then is it suitable to refill the bottle again, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination.

Is this packaging suitable for preparations containing alcohol or essential oils?

The packaging is generally suitable for several types of liquids; however, for formulations with a higher proportion of alcohol or essential oils we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – first fill a smaller amount of the product and observe the behaviour of the plastic and the spray pump over time. Check in particular the sealing, smoothness of spraying and any changes in the appearance of the material. In this way you can safely confirm the long-term suitability of the packaging for the specific recipe.

How should I properly care for the spray pump so that it functions reliably for a long time?

We recommend using the spray pump with liquids of appropriate viscosity that do not contain larger solid particles capable of clogging the nozzle. After the contents have been used up, it is advisable to flush the system with clean water or a suitable cleaning solution to remove residues of the preparation. For longer storage without use, it is practical to lock the spray pump (if its construction allows) and store the packaging in an upright position, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the bottle before further use?

First empty the bottle and spray pump as much as possible and rinse them with lukewarm water suitable for the given type of residue (water- or oil-based). Afterwards, you can wash the packaging with a mild cleaning agent, rinse it thoroughly and let it dry. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the internal surfaces as well as the spray mechanism using a suitable alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After the alcohol has evaporated, the packaging is ready for a new filling.

How should I correctly dispose of or recycle this plastic packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of plastic specified in the parameter table for the product. Before placing it in sorted waste collection, empty the packaging as much as possible and, if possible, separate the individual parts (bottle body, spray pump, any separately recyclable components). Then dispose of them in the appropriate container according to local waste-sorting rules. In this way you minimise environmental burden and ensure that the material can be further processed in the recycling process.
