The glass vial represents a durable and hygienic packaging for liquid and powdered preparations, particularly suitable for the precise dosing of small amounts of formulations. High-quality glass is a stable material which, when used correctly, does not affect the composition or scent of the contents, making this type of bottle ideal for sensitive recipes, test samples or concentrated solutions. The glass bottle is suitable for home and semi-professional use in the production of cosmetics and other specialized preparations, where precise handling, safe storage and aesthetic packaging are important.
Before filling, we recommend mechanically rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution and then disinfecting it. For disinfecting the surface and the inside of the packaging, it is appropriate to use alcohol-based preparations, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. On Handymade you can find specialized products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which are intended specifically for disinfecting packaging before filling.
Yes, the glass vial is suitable for repeated use when hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination. We recommend using a suitable alcohol-based disinfectant, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, and allowing the packaging to dry completely before refilling.
If you decide not to use the packaging repeatedly, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. Glass packaging is normally sorted into the appropriate glass container according to local waste collection rules. Before handing it over for separate collection, it is advisable to empty the bottle, remove any coarse residues of the contents and, if possible, separate any plastic or metal parts of the closure so that they can be recycled in the appropriate fractions.
When filling, it is important to maintain the cleanliness of the working environment as well as of the packaging itself, to choose a suitable type of closure and not to exceed the recommended fill level so that the contents have sufficient headspace during handling. For storage, it is recommended to protect the bottle from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight and to keep it in a dry, clean environment. In the case of viscous or sensitive formulations, it is advisable to test the stability of the product directly in the chosen combination of packaging and closure before placing it on the market.
When selecting packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. It allows you to easily filter according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material. By combining these criteria, you will quickly narrow the selection down to bottles, jars or vials that best match your formulation, the required dosing and the visual style of your brand.
