Yes, the glass vial is suitable for smaller test batches, formulation prototypes and finished cosmetic products for which you need practical and compact packaging. Stable glass and a quality closure help protect the contents during storage and more frequent handling, which you will appreciate for example with serums, oils or concentrated active substances.

How should I correctly prepare the packaging for first filling and repeated use?

The packaging can be reused, provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before the first and every subsequent filling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant‑based. After disinfection, allow the interior of the packaging and the thread to dry completely in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and avoid affecting the stability of the filled formulation.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle the glass vial if I do not want to use it repeatedly?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, recycling it is recommended in line with the material indicated in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. The glass part can generally be sorted into the glass container after removing product residues and the closure. Sort the metal closure according to local rules for metal packaging collection or into mixed waste if the municipality does not provide separate metal collection. Before disposal, it is advisable to at least roughly rinse the packaging to minimise residues of the original product.

Can I use this vial for concentrated aromatic or essential oils as well?

Glass packaging is generally a suitable choice for essential and aromatic oils, as glass is chemically stable and does not absorb fragrances. For highly concentrated blends, we always recommend first filling a small trial amount and monitoring the sealing, dosing and any impact on the closure. If you are planning long‑term storage or exposure to light, also follow the recommendations of the raw material manufacturer and the information in the parameters of the specific packaging.
