This packaging is designed to support the stability of sensitive formulations, minimise contact with the external environment and allow controlled dosing without unnecessary wastage. Thanks to precise manufacturing, the dropper bottle is suitable for packaging smaller volumes of concentrated preparations, serums, essences and other products where cleanliness and dose repeatability are important.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the selected parameters in the product range. They can be combined with screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators, allowing you to set the dosing method precisely according to the character of your formulation.
Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. Yes, the glass dropper bottle with a dropper is suitable for packaging oil-based and highly concentrated serums, boosters and active blends where precise drop-by-drop dosing is important. The stable glass material generally tolerates vegetable oils, essential oils and cosmetic actives well. However, for every new formulation we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test to verify the long-term stability and behaviour of the product in contact with the packaging.
The bottle can be reused provided that basic hygiene rules are followed and the packaging is not mechanically damaged. Before each refilling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example with IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and unwanted reactions between residues of the previous product and the new formulation.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the bottle thoroughly, allowing it to dry and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol (for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable). For refilling, it is important to remove all residues of the original product, both mechanically and using a suitable cleaning agent, then rinse the packaging, allow it to dry thoroughly and disinfect it again. Clean the dropper carefully so as not to damage the rubber or plastic part that provides the seal.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is advisable to recycle it according to the material types specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle, once emptied and basically cleaned, should usually be placed in the container designated for glass. The dropper may contain a combination of plastic, metal and possibly a rubber part, so it is advisable, where possible, to dismantle it and sort the individual parts into the appropriate waste categories according to local recycling rules.
