This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the next product batch.

After the contents have been used up, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with a suitable medium (for example a vegetable oil for oil-based formulations), then washing it in lukewarm water with a mild detergent and rinsing thoroughly. After complete drying, the interior and the neck must be disinfected with an alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% plant ethanol. Before refilling, make sure that no residues of cleaning agents or moisture remain on the walls.

When choosing a closure or dispenser, it is important to follow the technical parameters given for the product, especially the type of neck and the recommended combinations in the e-shop. On Handymade, compatible screw caps, droppers and other applicators are available for this bottle – when using them, the combinations are tested in terms of functionality. Nevertheless, we recommend performing your own test with your specific formulation and checking tightness, dosing accuracy and comfort in use.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material indicated in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Glass parts generally belong in the container designated for glass, while plastic closures or droppers are sorted according to their material (e.g. into plastics). Before discarding, remove any product residues to facilitate subsequent processing in the recycling process. In the case of combined packaging, follow the recommendation in the parameters of the specific product.
