Glass bottle – medicine bottle is a professional packaging material designed for the precise dosing of cosmetic products, oils and concentrated blends. In combination with a suitable dispenser or dropper, it enables hygienic and controlled filling as well as application, making it ideal for products where dose accuracy and formulation stability are crucial.
White opaque glass helps protect light‑sensitive formulas from external influences and supports the long‑term stability of the contents. The bottle is suitable for small volumes, samples and concentrated formulations where both representative presentation and practical use are important.
This glass bottle – medicine bottle is designed to be compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass medicine bottle is generally suitable for most standard cosmetic formulations on an oil and water basis. Nevertheless, we always recommend performing your own stability and compatibility test – first fill a smaller amount of product, observe the behaviour of the packaging and any changes in colour, fragrance or viscosity over time.
The glass packaging can be reused provided that hygienic principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using high‑percentage alcohol, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant‑based. Make sure that after cleaning and disinfection it is completely dry, and only then refill it. At the same time, we recommend not using the same packaging for very different types of products (for example strongly perfumed and then fragrance‑free formulations), in order to avoid fragrance transfer.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in separated waste collection according to the material stated in the product parameters. After emptying, clean the glass bottle as thoroughly as possible from product residues, remove the cap or dispenser made of a different material and dispose of the glass in a container intended for glass. Caps and pumps are sorted according to their material (most often plastic or metal) in accordance with local waste‑sorting rules.
The choice of closure depends on the texture and the way your product is used. For oils and serums, droppers or pipettes are practical, while for gentle toners and watery solutions, spray heads are appropriate. Thicker concentrates and targeted treatment products often require precise dripping or a small amount for application, where a dropper cap is suitable. On the product page you will find recommended compatible caps and dispensers, and all combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. Even so, we recommend always carrying out your own sealing and dosing test with your specific formulation.
The fastest solution is to use the advanced filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, medicine bottles or cosmetic packaging), you will find the filter at the top of the page. Using the filters, you can select packaging according to neck type, required size, colour and material. Thanks to this you can quickly narrow down the selection to packaging that corresponds to your formulation, brand design and practical dosing requirements.
