The glass bottle with dropper represents a professional packaging solution that is ideal for the precise dosing of liquid preparations in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and DIY formulations. Thanks to the dropper, it enables comfortable, hygienic and controlled withdrawal of the contents, which is especially important for concentrated active ingredients, serums or aromatic blends. High-quality glass is suitable for stable and safe storage of many formulations that require reliable packaging and protection from contact with plastic.
This bottle is supplied as a ready-made combination of packaging and dropper, which ensures reliable sealing and comfortable dosing. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure that the packaging will meet the needs of your particular product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before first use, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and drying the bottle and the dropper. Afterwards, it is necessary to disinfect the packaging before filling with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use products available on Handymade, for example ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l or etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l. Always carry out disinfection in a well-ventilated environment and let the packaging dry completely before filling.
Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. After the contents have been used up, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the packaging, cleaning it mechanically and, before refilling, always cleaning and disinfecting it, for example using the preparations ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l or etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l. Make sure that no residues of the original product remain inside, as they could affect the stability of the new formulation.
For thicker oil-based or more viscous serums, we recommend, after filling the bottle, carrying out a dosing trial and, if necessary, adjusting the technique of use – the dropper should be held vertically and the contents dosed by pressing the bulb more slowly. For very thick formulations, it is advisable to prepare a smaller test batch and verify whether the dropper provides the required flow rate and drop size. If the dosing is too slow, consider adjusting the recipe (e.g. reducing viscosity) or using another type of packaging with a wider dosing system.
We recommend storing filled bottles in a dry, cooler and shaded place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. The stability of the formulation will also be supported by limiting frequent opening of the packaging and by trying to minimise contamination of the dropper during use. For more sensitive formulations, such as preparations containing unstable active ingredients, it is advisable to carry out regular checks of appearance, odour and consistency, so that you can be sure that the product remains at the desired quality throughout its declared shelf-life.
If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend emptying it before disposal and removing any remaining contents. The glass part of the packaging usually belongs in the container designated for glass according to local waste-sorting rules, while the dropper and plastic or rubber parts should be separated according to the material type stated in the product parameters. Always follow local recycling guidelines so that the packaging is disposed of as environmentally friendly as possible.
On Handymade, when choosing packaging you can use the extended filter located in the upper part of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging material category. Using the filter, you can conveniently select packaging according to several parameters, for example according to neck type, required size, colour or material. In this way, you will quickly find bottles, dropper bottles, jars or pots that will best match your specific product and the intended method of use.
