Thanks to the cap with safety lock, it enables safe storage of small batches of serums, oils or tinctures. When making home cosmetics, we recommend following basic hygiene rules, working with clean tools and always thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the packaging before filling.
The bottle can be reused if proper hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly washed, cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable product, for example with isopropyl alcohol IPA 99% or with plant-based ethanol 96%. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of the new formulation being affected by residues of the previous product.
First, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution or with warm water and a gentle detergent, then rinsing it thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface and the neck of the packaging using alcohol, for example IPA 99% or ethanol 96%. Only after the disinfectant has completely evaporated is the bottle ready for refilling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend first emptying it and removing any remaining contents. The glass bottle is usually placed in sorted glass collection according to local waste collection rules, while the plastic or composite cap is sorted separately according to its material. Always adapt the specific method of recycling to the material information given in the product parameters and to local recommendations for waste sorting, in order to ensure the most environmentally friendly handling of the used packaging.
