How can I correctly clean this glass bottle before first use?

Before the first filling, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, then rinsing with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. Before contact with the final product, it is important to disinfect the packaging – for disinfection you can use for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find in the Handymade.sk range as IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol and Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After disinfection, let the packaging air out and dry, and only then fill it.

Is it possible to use this glass bottle repeatedly?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene principles and a suitable cleaning method are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Only after complete drying and evaporation of the alcohol is the bottle ready for refilling. When changing the type of product (for example from oil-based to water-based), we recommend increased attention to cleaning and disinfection.

How should I correctly recycle the glass bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is appropriate to recycle it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. Glass bottles are generally sorted into the container designated for glass. Before disposal, it is good to remove product residues and possibly labels, if the surface allows it. Closures and dispensers made of plastic or metal are sorted according to their material into the corresponding containers. By following local waste-sorting rules, you support a responsible approach to the environment and the recycling of packaging.

Can I use this bottle also for products with a higher content of alcohol or active substances?

Glass material is generally very stable and also suitable for formulations with a higher content of alcohol or concentrated active substances. Nevertheless, we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test: fill a smaller amount of product into the bottle, observe any changes (discolouration, deposits, changes in odour) and also test the behaviour of the chosen closure or dispenser. This procedure is especially important for new or very concentrated formulas.
