Product description

Blue glass bottle with black cap represents a professional packaging solution suitable for filling various liquid and slightly viscous preparations. High‑quality glass combined with a precisely fitting closure helps protect formulations from external influences and contributes to the stability of their composition during storage and use. Thanks to the packaging material, it is suitable for artisanal, laboratory and small‑batch cosmetics, where cleanliness, visual presentation and practical dosing of the contents are important.

The blue glass of the bottle provides additional protection of the contents from light, which is particularly advantageous for products that are sensitive to long‑term exposure to daylight. The closure ensures reliable sealing, thereby minimising the risk of unwanted leakage during transport and shipping. The packaging is suitable for home and professional use and can be easily integrated into an existing product range thanks to the timeless appearance of the glass.

Possible uses

  • Packaging for cosmetic serums, facial and hair oils, facial lotions, toners and specialised spot treatments.
  • Pharmaceutical‑type bottle for aromatherapy blends, functional perfume oils and concentrated cosmetic active solutions.
  • Container for herbal macerates, botanical extracts and tinctures intended for external use.
  • Glass bottle for formula samples during the development of new products in smaller test series.
  • Practical bottle for professional and hobby use in the production of natural, artisanal or niche cosmetics.

Packaging benefits

  • Material stability – the glass container is chemically resistant, does not react with most commonly used cosmetic ingredients and helps maintain the stability of the final formulation.
  • Protection of contents – blue glass reduces light transmission compared to clear glass, which, combined with proper storage, supports longer shelf life of light‑sensitive oils and extracts.
  • No odour trace from the material – glass does not affect the fragrance or colour of the contents, which is important for aromatherapy and perfumed preparations.
  • Aesthetic appearance – the blue glass bottle with black closure looks professional and is also suitable as final packaging for products intended for sale.
  • Universal use – a single pharmaceutical bottle can be used for finished products, test samples, laboratory prototypes and concentrates, which simplifies stock management for smaller series.

Combining with closures and dispensers

The standalone glass bottle is designed to be compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the selected product parameters. In practice, it can be combined with screw caps, dropper inserts, pipette droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators for more targeted dosing.

The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – verifying the reliability of the seal, the consistency of dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, oil, alcohol or acid content).

Technical parameters

All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this blue glass bottle suitable for sensitive cosmetic formulations?

Thanks to the stable material, the glass bottle is also suitable for formulations that are more sensitive to external influences, such as oils, serums containing botanical extracts or aromatherapy blends. Blue glass helps reduce light penetration compared to clear glass, which can be an advantage for longer‑term storage. However, for very sensitive recipes we always recommend testing the behaviour of the product over time and following the storage conditions recommended by the raw material manufacturer.

Can I use this glass bottle repeatedly for new batches of products?

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed, especially when it remains within the same product line (for example the same type of serum or oil). Before each new filling, however, the bottle and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of microbiological contamination and any impact on the stability of the new batch. For final disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovany rastlinny, in accordance with the recommended working procedure and safety instructions.

How should I properly clean the glass bottle before re‑use?

Before refilling, it is advisable to mechanically remove any residues of the original product, then wash the bottle in a suitable soapy or detergent solution and rinse thoroughly with clean water. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface and the thread with alcohol, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovany rastlinny. Disinfection should be carried out in a well‑ventilated area and in accordance with safety instructions. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated is the packaging ready for a new filling.

How can I dispose of or recycle this glass bottle in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted waste collection according to the material specified in the product parameters. In most cases, the glass bottle can be cleaned of product residues and placed in a container intended for sorted glass waste in line with local regulations. A closure made of a different material (for example plastic or metal) is usually separated independently according to the material designation on the product or in the parameter table. Before disposing of the packaging in sorted waste, remove any larger product residues so that the conditions of the recycling process are not compromised.

You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?

To make it easier to choose the packaging, you can use the advanced filter available at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter it is possible to combine several criteria at once – for example neck type and diameter, pack size, colour, material and other properties according to the category. In this way you can quickly narrow down the offer to bottles, pharma bottles or jars that are most suitable for the specific product type and method of application.
