The glass bottle with dropper represents a professional packaging solution for precise dispensing of liquid preparations, suitable for artisan and small-scale cosmetics as well as laboratory formulations. The combination of high-quality glass and a functional dropper enables comfortable and controlled application even at low doses, which is ideal for concentrated raw materials. Thanks to the coloured glass, the contents are protected from excessive light exposure and, with proper storage, retain their properties for a longer time.
This glass bottle is intended as a standalone container and is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems according to the selected parameters – for example with screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators available in the Handymade range. Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially for products with atypical pH, increased alcohol content or specific active substances.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass bottle is generally suitable for most oil-based and water-based cosmetic products such as serums, toners or treatment solutions. However, it is always recommended to carry out your own stability and compatibility test – first fill a smaller amount of the product, observe any changes in colour, odour, viscosity and the behaviour of the dropper during dosing over a period of several days to weeks.
The container can be reused provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after complete drying and evaporation of the alcohol is the bottle ready for refilling. For repeated use, we recommend reserving the container for a similar type of product (e.g. always oil-based serums) to minimise the risk of cross-contamination.
First remove any residue of the original product by rinsing with a suitable medium (for example, with oil for oil-based serums or with water for aqueous solutions). Then wash the container with a mild detergent intended for hand washing, rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry. After washing, the packaging must be disinfected using an alcoholic solution, for example with the product IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Spread the disinfectant solution over the inner surface, allow it to act and then let the bottle dry completely in a clean, dust-free place.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information stated in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle is usually placed in the container intended for glass after removal of any product residue. The dropper and small plastic or rubber parts (for example the cap, pipette with rubber part) should, according to local sorting rules, be placed in the appropriate fractions of municipal or separated waste. Before disposal, we recommend rinsing the container so that no strongly aromatic or greasy product residues remain in the waste.
