Yes, the glass bottle can be used repeatedly, provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned mechanically and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. Only after it has completely dried and ventilated is the bottle ready for reuse.
When choosing a closure or dispenser, we recommend following the parameters listed for the bottle and then selecting in the closure categories a component with matching technical specifications. On Handymade, compatible accessories whose combinations are tested and functional are offered directly with the product. For specific formulations, however, always carry out your own test of sealing, dosing and product stability in contact with the packaging and the chosen closure.
Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the glass bottle with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly, allowing it to dry and then disinfecting it with alcohol – for example with the products IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured. Allow the disinfectant solution to act, then let the container dry in the air. The same procedure is suitable for repeated use between individual product batches.
If you decide not to use the container further, we recommend that after emptying and basic cleaning you place the bottle in sorted collection according to the material type specified in the product parameters. Glass parts are typically placed in containers intended for glass, while plastic or metal components of closures should be separated and sorted separately according to local waste collection rules. In this way, you support the recycling process and reduce the overall environmental burden of the packaging material.
