The frosted glass bottle with a white-gold dropper represents an elegant and functional packaging solution for high-quality cosmetic formulations, serums and concentrated solutions. Frosted glass helps reduce light penetration to more sensitive formulas and, in combination with the dropper, allows for precise and hygienic dosing drop by drop. Such a bottle is suitable for filling liquid products of higher value, where not only protection of the contents but also the representative appearance of the packaging is important.
This glass bottle is supplied as packaging with a dropper, while the glass container itself, in terms of the neck, is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems available in our range (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators), depending on the selected parameters. The packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade have been tested and are functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass bottle is suitable for repeated use if hygiene standards are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose. In our online shop you will find, for example, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which are commonly used when working with packaging and help to ensure its cleanliness before the next filling.
We recommend disassembling the dropper into its individual parts to the extent allowed by its construction and gently rinsing them with lukewarm water and a neutral detergent. It is then advisable to remove any remaining water, allow the parts to dry thoroughly and, where increased hygiene is required, to disinfect the surfaces with a suitable alcohol solution. When cleaning, avoid using high temperatures and aggressive cleaning agents to prevent damage to the rubber and plastic parts of the dropper and to preserve its sealing and dosing function.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition indicated in the product parameters on the page. The glass part of the bottle is usually placed in the container designated for glass according to local waste-sorting rules. The dropper consists of a combination of materials (plastic, rubber, metal), so it is advisable to separate it from the glass container before disposal and handle it according to the recommendations of your waste collection system. Before recycling, it is always advisable to rinse the packaging to remove product residues in order to avoid contamination of the recycling stream.
The dropper is ideal for concentrated products that are applied in small quantities – typically facial serums, oil blends, intensive treatments or active concentrates. It allows for accurate, drop-by-drop dosing directly onto the skin or into the palm of the hand. If you plan to fill thinner solutions intended for larger areas, disinfectant solutions or toners, a sprayer may be more practical. For thicker emulsions or gels, a pump dispenser is more suitable. All of these types of closures can be found in the packaging material categories in our online shop, and we recommend always checking the neck compatibility according to the product parameters.
To make it easier to choose the ideal packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging material categories. You can access it by clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars or pots), with the advanced filter located at the top of the page. Using this, you can sort the packaging according to several criteria – specifically by neck type, size, colour and material. In this way you can quickly display only those packaging options that meet your technological requirements and design preferences and more easily find a suitable combination of container and closure for your product.
