Yes, the glass bottle is suitable for most cosmetic formulations containing essential oils and alcohol, because glass is a stable and resistant material. However, for very concentrated or unconventional blends we recommend performing your own compatibility test – filling a smaller volume, monitoring the behaviour of the closure and the seal and checking whether there is any leakage or change in the appearance of the packaging.

The packaging can be reused provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after complete drying and evaporation of the alcohol do we recommend filling the container again. When changing the type of product (e.g. from an oil-based to a water-based product), it is especially important to ensure thorough cleaning in order to prevent unwanted mixing of scents or ingredients.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to local waste-sorting rules, based on the material information provided in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle, once emptied and rinsed, is usually sorted into a container designated for glass. The safety cap and any seals must be sorted according to the material specified in the parameter table (for example with plastics), or handed over as mixed waste if they cannot be recycled separately. Before disposal we recommend removing any product residues and labels so that the material can be processed as efficiently as possible in the recycling process.

After filling the bottle, we recommend first closing the packaging by gently tightening it and then firmly tightening the closure so that the seal seats correctly. Then turn the bottle upside down and leave it to stand briefly to verify that no leakage occurs. For dropper or other dispensing systems, it is advisable to test the dosing at different angles of inclination. If you are working with a more viscous oil-based or gel content, it may be necessary to choose a different type of dispenser or adjust the viscosity of the formulation so that it can be applied comfortably.
