Before filling, we recommend mechanically rinsing the packaging and then thoroughly disinfecting it. It is suitable to use disinfectant alcohols available on Handymade – for example isopropyl alcohol in technical grade (IPA 99 %) or plant-based ethanol (ethanol 96 % denatured). After disinfection, allow the bottle and spray pump to dry completely at room temperature in order to minimize the risk of diluting the formulation with residual alcohol.

The packaging can be reused if hygiene rules are strictly followed. With each product change, the vial and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely. From a hygiene point of view, it is not appropriate to use the same packaging for products with significantly different compositions (for example rich oil blends and then aqueous solutions) without thorough degreasing and repeated disinfection.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type stated in the product parameters. The glass part (vial) can be handed over, after emptying and rinsing, to a container intended for glass. The plastic spray pump and any small plastic components should be sorted into the container for plastics, unless local waste sorting rules state otherwise. Before disposal, it is always advisable to remove product residues in order to simplify the recycling process and reduce the risk of contaminating other sorted waste.

The spray pump is ideal mainly for low-viscosity aqueous or hydroalcoholic solutions, facial and body waters, toners, gentle hair sprays and interior or textile sprays. For thicker or highly oily formulations, atomization may be less uniform, so before series filling we recommend always preparing a test batch and verifying the continuity of dosing, the uniformity of the spray pattern and the functionality of the mechanism during long-term use.
