The bottle with dropper insert is primarily intended for low to medium viscosity liquids where drop-by-drop dosing is desired. For more viscous oils we recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing both the outflow rate and dosing comfort. If the flow through the dropper is too slow, another type of closure or dispensing system from the Handymade range may be more suitable.

The glass packaging can be reused provided that hygiene principles are followed. However, before each new filling it is essential to thoroughly clean and disinfect both the bottle and the dropper in order to prevent microbial contamination and transfer of residues from the original formulation. For disinfection we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol of a quality suitable for the intended use, which you can find on Handymade: IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection it is important to allow all parts to dry completely.

First, we recommend removing residues of the original product using warm water and a suitable cleaning agent that is compatible with your formulation. Then the bottle should be thoroughly rinsed so that no detergent residues remain. After mechanical cleaning, disinfect the packaging and the dropper with an alcohol-based preparation, for example products available on Handymade, and allow them to dry completely in a clean, dust-free place. Only after complete drying is the packaging ready for further use.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste separation rules. In most cases the glass part of the bottle can be placed in a container intended for glass, while the closure and dropper components (for example plastic or rubber parts) should be sorted according to material type, in line with the recommendations given in the product parameters on the Handymade website. Before handing over for recycling it is advisable to remove any product residues and labels so that sorting is as efficient as possible.
