The glass bottle with spray pump is a practical packaging component designed for precise and hygienic dispensing of cosmetic and technical formulations in the form of a fine mist. Thanks to high-quality glass and a functional spray mechanism, it is ideal for filling products where even application to the skin, hair or a surface is important. The transparent glass allows good visual control of the contents and the condition of the preparation, which is advantageous for small batches as well as professional production.
This packaging is suitable for various types of liquids – from toning waters and serums to gentle cleansing solutions where comfortable, economical and repeatedly accurate dosing is required. The bottle integrates well into coherent product ranges and, with its minimalist appearance, supports custom labels, stickers and branding.
This bottle with integrated spray pump forms a functional unit ready for immediate use. The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – especially in terms of sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, presence of alcohol, oil components, or acidic and alkaline components).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be safely reused if proper hygiene principles are observed. Before each refilling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting both the bottle and the spray head. In practice, the use of alcohol-based solutions has proven effective for this purpose, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use products available on Handymade, such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to dry thoroughly in order to minimise the risk of dilution or any effect on the stability of your formulation.
Before finally implementing the packaging in production, we recommend performing a small trial test. Fill the bottle with a smaller quantity of your product, close it with the spray pump and observe its behaviour over several days to weeks – in particular the tightness of the packaging, the smoothness of spraying, any clogging of the head, and any changes in the appearance or smell of the formulation. It is also important to verify that the viscosity and composition of the product (content of oils, alcohol, acids, etc.) do not affect the functionality of the spray mechanism. This short pre-test will help you avoid problems in larger filling runs.
After emptying, the bottle should first be rinsed with warm water and detergent, then thoroughly rinsed with clean water and left to dry. The spray head can be rinsed by repeatedly drawing in and spraying out clean water, or water with a small proportion of alcohol, and then spraying through again with clean water. Before refilling, it is recommended to disinfect the packaging – for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol – and refill only after it has completely dried. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and extends the shelf life of your product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted waste according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can be placed, after emptying and rinsing off product residues, in the container intended for glass. The plastic components of the spray pump (body, tube, any caps) generally belong in the container for plastic, unless local waste sorting rules state otherwise. Before disposal, it is advisable to remove coarse residues of product from the packaging to facilitate recycling and reduce the environmental burden.
For quick and efficient selection of suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging material categories. You can access it at the top of the page after clicking on a specific category (for example bottles, jars or dispensers). In the filter you can refine your selection according to key parameters – in particular the type and neck diameter, size, colour and material of the packaging. By combining these criteria, you can easily choose packaging that meets the technical requirements of your formulation as well as the visual style of your brand.
