The glass bottle with roll-on applicator is a professional container designed for precise and hygienic application of liquid formulations directly onto the skin. Thanks to the roll-on system, it is ideal for products where controlled dosing and clean application without the need for hands or additional tools is important. The clear glass allows visual inspection of the contents, which you will appreciate for formulations with natural colours, micas or active ingredients.
The heavy base of the glass container provides greater stability of the bottle on the work surface and during storage and at the same time looks aesthetically pleasing when finally labelled with a sticker or print. This packaging is suitable for filling various cosmetic formulations and aromatic blends where the combination of practical roll-on dosing, the elegant appearance of glass and reliable protection of the contents from external influences is important.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators), depending on the parameters selected when ordering. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – verify sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (content of oils, alcohol, acids or active substances).

The glass bottle with roll-on applicator is generally also suitable for formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils, since glass has very good chemical resistance. For each new product, however, we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of the blend, observe the behaviour of the ball, the sealing and any changes to the plastic parts of the roll-on system after a certain storage period.
When filling the bottle, we recommend using a small funnel or a dosing syringe in order to minimise contact of the product with the neck and the thread. Do not fill the bottle completely to the top – leave sufficient space for fitting the roll-on mechanism so that no overpressure and leakage of the formulation occurs when it is pushed in. After closing, gently turn the packaging upside down and check the sealing before including it for sale or regular use.
The bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are observed; however, we recommend reserving it long-term for a similar type of product (for example only for an oil serum or only for aromatherapeutic blends). Before each refilling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. For disinfection, you can use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol from our range, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely, check the functionality of the roll-on mechanism and only then refill the bottle again.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend its responsible disposal according to the material types listed in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle can generally be sorted into the glass container after thoroughly emptying any product residues. The plastic parts of the roll-on mechanism and any closure should be separated and sorted according to local rules for plastic waste. When sorting, follow the material designation in the parameter table on the product page and the recommendations of your collection system.
