FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this glass bottle with sprayer be used repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be safely reused with correct handling and adherence to hygiene principles. Before each new filling we recommend thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the bottle and sprayer. It is advisable to rinse the container with warm water and detergent, let it dry completely and then disinfect it, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. Only after the complete evaporation of the disinfectant is the bottle ready for reuse.

For which type of products is this sprayer most suitable?

The sprayer is ideal for low-viscosity liquid preparations such as facial and body waters, hydrolats, hair tonics, body refreshers or aromatic sprays based on water or alcohol. Thick emulsions, oil blends with a high proportion of vegetable oils or solutions with a large amount of undissolved particles may clog the sprayer, so a different dosing system (for example a pump or a dropper) is recommended for this type of formulation.

How should I correctly clean the bottle and sprayer between individual fillings?

First empty the bottle and disassemble it as far as possible without damaging the mechanism. Rinse the glass part with warm water and detergent and remove product residues. It is advisable to spray clean water through the sprayer several times to remove formulation residues from the tube and head. After washing, let all components dry naturally at room temperature. Before refilling we recommend disinfecting the internal surfaces with alcohol, for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %, and waiting until they have completely evaporated.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this glass bottle with sprayer if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to continue using the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules and the information given in the product parameters. It is advisable to empty the glass container, possibly rinse out any product residues and place it in the appropriate glass container. The plastic parts of the sprayer must be separated from the glass and placed in the container intended for plastic waste, if the local collection system allows it. Sterilisation is not necessary before sorting; it is sufficient to remove most of the product residues so that other waste is not contaminated.
