Can this glass bottle with spray pump be used repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be reused with careful handling, but we always recommend following strict hygiene rules. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and the spray pump, ideally using a suitable alcohol (for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). It is advisable to let the disinfectant act, then allow the packaging to dry completely before filling it with a new product.

For which type of formulations is this spray pump most suitable?

The spray pump is most suitable for low-viscosity, liquid products – for example aqueous or hydroalcoholic solutions, hydrolats, toners, light hair tonics, air fresheners or textile sprays. With thicker emulsions and oils, spraying may be limited, so we always recommend first testing whether the given formulation passes through the mechanism evenly and without clogging.

How should the glass medicine bottle and spray pump be properly cleaned before reuse?

The glass part of the packaging can be rinsed with warm water and a mild detergent and then thoroughly rinsed. Afterwards we recommend disinfection with a suitable alcohol (for example IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % plant-based) and complete drying. For the spray pump, proceed gently – fill it with a small amount of disinfectant solution and spray several times to clean the internal channel. In the case of a heavily soiled or mechanically damaged spray pump, it is appropriate to consider replacing it with a new piece.

How can I properly recycle the bottle and spray pump if I do not want to use them further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. The glass bottle can usually be placed, after rinsing residues of the contents, into the glass container, while the plastic spray pump belongs, after emptying, in sorted waste according to the material marking. Before recycling, it is advisable to separate the individual parts (glass vs. plastic), remove any labels if required by the waste sorting system in your area, and follow the local rules for handling packaging waste.
