Glass bottle – dropper bottle represents a professional packaging solution for liquid cosmetic formulations, serums and other preparations where precise and hygienic application is important. The transparent glass allows for visual inspection of the contents, which you will appreciate both when developing your own formulas and when final packaging of products for customers. In combination with a suitable dispenser, this bottle is ideal for packaging both thicker and light emulsions.
The durable pharmaceutical glass used for these dropper bottles is stable with respect to common cosmetic raw materials and provides long-term protection of active ingredients. Thanks to the practical packaging with dispenser and smoked cap, the product looks aesthetic, professional and is also suitable for small batches or testers.
Glass dropper bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems, such as screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical cream applicators, depending on the selected parameters for the specific product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. For all custom combinations, however, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – in particular of the sealing, the dispensing type and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil-/water-based vehicle).
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
When deciding on the suitability of this packaging for a specific formula, we recommend following the data in the product parameters and the results of your own testing. If you decide not to recycle the packaging by refilling it after it has been used up, it is appropriate to place the glass part in the glass container and sort the plastic or metal parts of the closure according to their material composition and local waste collection rules.
Yes, the bottle is also suitable for lighter cream and gel formulations, provided you choose a compatible type of dispenser or applicator in the product parameters. For thicker textures, we always recommend testing the actual dispensing – whether the cream does not clog in the neck and whether dispensing proceeds smoothly and without excessive pressure. If necessary, it is advisable to slightly adjust the viscosity of the formula or choose another applicator within the available combinations on Handymade.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are followed, but always only for a product where you are certain that there will be no undesirable interactions with the previous contents. Before each new filling, the bottle and all parts of the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected – we recommend using, for example, IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % plant-based denatured ethanol. Only after the disinfectant has completely dried is the packaging ready for new use. If you do not wish to reuse the packaging, we recommend separating the glass part and placing it in the glass container, and sorting the remaining closure components according to their material and local waste collection rules.
Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the glass bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with drinking water and allowing it to dry completely. It is then advisable to disinfect the packaging – spraying or rinsing with IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % plant ethanol is practical. After the alcohol has evaporated and the internal space has been checked to be dry again, you can fill the packaging hygienically. Proceed in the same way when preparing the closure or dispenser, taking care that no excess water gets into the mechanism.
Before recycling, it is advisable to empty the bottle as much as possible and give it a basic rinse so that no product residues remain. The glass body of the dropper bottle is usually placed in the glass container, while the plastic or metal parts of the closure must be sorted according to their material composition and local separate collection rules. If the individual parts of the closure are made of several materials, it is ideal to separate them (plastic, metal, etc.) before disposal. The specific recommendation for recycling is based on the type of material indicated in the product parameter table, so when sorting, follow this data and the local waste management guidelines.
To select suitable packaging, you can use the extended filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Using this, you can easily narrow down the range according to key parameters – for example, by type and size of the neck, overall size and volume of the packaging, colour or material. By combining these filters, you will quickly find bottles, dropper bottles, jars or pots that best suit your formula and the desired dispensing method.
